Rhonda J. Chick, RN,MN,CNM
Rhonda J. Chick, RN, MN, CNM, started with NWWC September 19, 2012.
The first birth Rhonda attended was at the age of seventeen, where her younger sister was born at home into the hands of a midwife. This planted the first seed. After graduating from Occidental College in Los Angeles, with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies, she started working in women’s healthcare and discovered her calling to be a midwife.
The word midwife means “with woman”, and Rhonda has had a long career working in women’s health, even before becoming a midwife. She held both administrative and clinical positions at UCLA School of Medicine GYN/Oncology and at the Revlon UCLA Breast Center.
Rhonda obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles. After working as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, she returned to her Pacific Northwest roots to complete her Master’s in Nurse Midwifery at Oregon Health and Sciences University.
She is passionate about promoting women’s physical and emotional well being throughout their lifespan. She considers it a privilege to help women navigate the specific challenges of pregnancy and strives to help women feel informed and empowered throughout this process.
When not at work, Rhonda likes to read novels, tackle home improvement projects, hike, and have travel adventures with her wonderful husband.
